Graduate Co-op Program
The Georgia Tech Graduate Cooperative Education Program was established in 1983, and is currently the largest such offering in the United States for science and engineering academic programs. The Graduate Co-op program provides graduate students with the opportunity to work with industry and government leaders in their respective areas of study. In order to participate in the Graduate Co-op Program, students must first receive approval from their major school to work for a semester in full or part-time assignments. Graduate Co-op Program students may not work more than two consecutive semesters before returning to school for classes.
Eligibility for the Graduate Co-op Program is based on academic achievement at Georgia Tech. Research for master's and doctoral theses may be related to the work assignments, and is jointly supervised by Georgia Tech faculty and company staff.
There are no fees associated with the Graduate Co-op Program, and students are provided full-time enrollment status through their registration in the Graduate Co-op course. This permits students to retain all privileges of full-time enrolled students while on work assignments.
You can find more information about the Graduate Co-op Education Program by viewing the Graduate Co-op Program Frequently Asked Questions.
